Privacy policy

Nownex.app is a tool for running the rooms of a live event: audience questions, moderation, stage timers and schedules. It is operated by Nineveh Ventures LLC, an Illinois limited liability company operating Nownex.app. This page explains what we collect, why, and what happens to it. We keep it short because we keep the data small.

Organizers

• Email address. You sign in with a one-time link sent to your email. We store the address to identify your account and to send those links. We do not send marketing email.
• Event setup. Event name, dates, timezone, rooms, sessions, logos and colours you enter. This is shown on the public pages for your event.
• Payments. Handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. We keep a record of which event was paid for, when, and the Stripe reference, and of any refund.
• Help assistant. If you use the "Ask Nownex.app" box in the dashboard, the text you type there, plus the current event's name, dates and status, is sent to Anthropic to generate the answer. We do not store those messages; your browser keeps the conversation for the current tab only. Don't paste attendee questions or keys into it.

Attendees

• Questions. When someone submits a question from an event page we store the text, the optional name they typed, the room, the session and the time. No account, no email, no phone number is asked for.
• No tracking. Event pages set no advertising or analytics cookies and do not fingerprint devices. We keep standard server logs (IP address, browser, page requested) for a short period to run the service and stop abuse. We also keep daily counts of how often the home page, the demo and the sign-in page were opened and how many sign-ins, events, checkouts and publishes happened each day: plain numbers per day, with no name, email, address, question text, key or link attached, kept for two years.

Who can see attendee questions

The organizer of the event and the people they give a moderator key to (staff, contractors or volunteers). Approved questions are shown on that room's stage display. Authorized Nownex.app operators can also view event data, including questions, only as reasonably necessary for support, running the service, security and abuse investigation. That view is read-only, question text is shown only on request, and every such access is logged. Questions are never shown to other events or sold to anyone.

How long we keep it

Event data, including questions, stays available to the organizer in their archive after the event ends so they can export it. An organizer can delete an event at any time, which deletes its rooms, sessions and questions. If you are an attendee and want a question removed, contact the event organizer or write to us at hello@nownex.app with the event name.

Where it lives

The service runs on Cloudflare's network. Data is stored in Cloudflare's database and key-value services. Sign-in emails are sent through Resend. Payments are processed by Stripe. Help-assistant answers are generated by Anthropic. Each of those companies processes data only to provide their service to us.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to hello@nownex.app. We will answer within 30 days.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes and organizers with an active event are told by email.
